Below is a suggested itinerary taken from the South West Coast Path Association website, however, you can create your own walking route.

Some of the sample walks include:
Portreath - Hayle
11.7 miles (18.8 km)
approximate walking time 5.5 hours

This section has two distinct characters, between Portreath and Godrevy it is one of high-level cliffs with the sea far below and in contrast between Godrevy and Hayle the walk is on sand, a low tide or via the dunes.

Hayle - St Ives
6.1 miles (9.8 km)
approximate walking time 2.5 hours

This section includes some road walking but gives wonderful views over the River Hayle estuary and to the great sweep of St Ives Bay.

St Ives - Zennor
7 miles
approximate walking time 4 hours excluding breaks

This is quite a tough walk with a few rocky scrambles but take time to admire the many scenic spots along the way.

Zennor- Pendeen
7 miles (11km)
approximate walking time 4.5 hours

This section feels quite lonely and remote with no settlements but it is also magnificent with its stark cliffs, rocky pinnacles and tiny scenic coves.

Pendeen - Sennen
9.1 miles (14.6 km)
approximate walking time 4.25 hours

This section passes through the mining areas of Pendeen and St Just with the impressive remains at Geevor, Levant and Bottallack.  It features high cliffs, barren hills and often wild seas with fantastic views at Cape Cornwall. From here the scenery changes as you arrive at Sennen with its wonderful sandy beach.

Sennen - Porthcurno
6.3 miles (10.1 km)
approximate walking time 3.5 hours

After a short walk to Lands End the scenery onto Porthcurno is some of the finest in Cornwall, with towering granite cliffs, proud headlands and dramatic bays. At the end you arrive in Porthcurno via the unique cliff – face Minack Theatre.

Porthcurno - Lamorna
5.4 miles (8.7 km)
approximate walking time 3.5 hours

This is a quiet, remote and very scenic section of cliffs and headlands, punctuated by some picturesque coves and a lighthouse.

Lamorna - Marazion
9.2 miles (14.8 km)
strenuous then easy
approximate walking time 3.5 hours

The majority of this section is urban or semi-urban in character as you pass through the towns of Mousehole, Newlyn and Penzance , however, it is defined by its views over Mounts Bay dominated by the magnificent site of St Michael’s Mount and its castle.

Mullion Cove - The Lizard
6.8 miles
approximate walking time 4 hours excluding breaks

This is an exposed section with spectacular coves and bays including Kynance Cove, leading to an easy last section to the beautiful rugged Lizard point.
